About Us

West Frankfort Public Library’s service area consists of approximately 7275 residents and serves the area within the city limits of West Frankfort.

West Frankfort Public Library is a member of the Illinois Heartland Library System (IHLS). The library participates in the Sharing Heartland’s Available Resources Equally (SHARE) consortium. This gives our patrons access to over 10 million items from 500 libraries.

Our collection consists of books, e-books, magazines, audiobooks, e-audiobooks, music CDs, DVDs and newspapers. Also available for use is a microfilm reader/printer for issues of the Daily American newspaper from 1919 to 2015. The library provides fax services. There are 3 public access computers and wi-fi is available inside the library.
